Gambia - a new tiny yellow dot on my map of visited countries. My list approaches the list of Gert. :).

The Gambia is a country in West Africa that is almost entirely surrounded by Senegal with the exception of its western coastline along the Atlantic Ocean. It is the smallest country within mainland Africa.

The Gambia is situated on either side of the Gambia River, which flows through the centre of the Gambia and empties into the Atlantic Ocean. Banjul is the Gambian capital.

On the photo, the beginning of my African adventure. After quite a long flight I came to Banjul in the late evening. I got up at sunrise and I saw these colors and reflections. I hope you enjoy.

Cool to have another new country added to your list. A beautiful first photo with wonderful pastel sunset colours in the sky behind the silhouettes of the palm trees. The reflections are a great addition too.

Je reste toujours aussi admiratif devant ces voyageurs au long cours, qui voyagent en essayant de prendre le pouls des habitants, découvrir avec méthode, se fondre dans la population pour en comprendre la vie.

Hello Malgo,
Your TE list may be close to mine, but you are still very far behind "John_F_Kennedy". Good luck! ;-). This looks like a "hostel" of a style you are not used to. The sunrise has painted the sky behind the palms beautifully, so it was a good idea to get up early in order to get a decent photo from a new country. The small part of Gambia you saw probably didn't offer much else, but this was nice. You were lucky to capture a person at this early hour.

The reflections on the water are assets to the composition. The point of view is showing the details of the swimming pool and of the palm trees. The sunrise is giving nice colors to the sky. Have a nice day.

Hello Malgo, it was the subtle colours of the sunset, in the thumbnails, that attracted my attention.
Enough light for us to take in some of the details, and yet some objects are silhouetted, the person, and the palm trees against the sky. And not forgetting the bonus of the reflection in the water.

Hi dear Malgo,

You must have been exhausted after such a long and tiring flight, so very well done for waking up early the next day and getting out to experience this fabulous sunrise!

The light here is gorgeous, the wonderful display of red, pink, yellow and blue of the morning sky beautifully reflected on the pool and wet ground while a single figure strolls across your field of view.

A beautiful and well composed shot, very well taken, and an interesting note to accompany it.

Opening your eyes onto this scene must have made your heart skip a beat!
The colours in the sky are remarkably beautiful and the reflections add to the impact!

This is a beautiful sunrise photo. The colors in the sky are great, and it seems to be very windy. The palm trees are swaying, and maybe there was even a recent storm. It looks like there isn't only water in the pool, but also a lot of it on the ground.

gratulacje! Maly kraj ale cieszy :)
Twoja lista jest naprawde imponujaca ale faktycznie nie wyobrazam sobie jak mozna dogonic Achima :)
Ja pracuje nad lista mojej corki: ma juz 15 krajow. Niestety Floryda nas zrujnowala wiec niepredko mozemy zaczac marzyc o wakacjach...
Rzeczywiscie Gambia/Senegal nie sa az takie drogie ale pod warunkiem ze sie np pojedzie poza sezonem jak teraz. Ja juz teraz jestem skazany na wakacje szkolne a wiec na szczyt sezonu :(

Piekna prezentacja. Niesamowite swiatlo. A wiec Gambia byla twoim centrum wypadowym z ktorego wyruszalas w Senegal? Czy zmienialiscie hotele?
Wspaniala wyprawa, ale sie dziwie ze sie zdecydowalas na wycieczke zorganizowana!

sono molto belli i colori di questo tramonto e si raddoppiano attraverso il riflesso.
Si, il motivo del mio viaggio era andare da mia figlia, lei è lì da settembre.
Non ho visto nessun amico TE, ma ho avuto poco tempo e avevo Martina, mi sembrava più che sufficiente ;-)
