Photographer's Note
Serval cats are really wild cats with black spotted yellow coats. They are like small sized cheetas. The back of their large upright ears have black tips to help the other members of the family follow each other in areas where the grass is high and it is difficult to keep track of each other. They are nocturnal animals that feed on rodents, but we were lucky to see this beauty on a late afternoon on our way to the camp. The focused look I caught here was directed to a rat apparently. The wait lasted about 20 seconds at most. No steps, no move, only a jump right to the animal to finish the job...

what a portrait! the intense concentration, the attentive stance, and those ears... well-told story of a daily life of this beautiful cat :) love this shot, although I guess I'd play a little with levels and curves in photoshop to slightly increase saturation.
best,

What a beautiful picture it is very difficult to take a photo of a serval as it is a very wild animal.
