Photographer's Note

These wrecks were trawlers, offered to the Mauritania by the international community.
Unfortunately, it was an unconsidered operation, because there were no qualified sailors in Mauritania:
Mauritanians are good fishers, but thez use to fish only in pirogues, not far from the coasts, and they do not get sailing technics.
And so, more than 100 wrecks are now rusting on the beaches, close to Nouadhibou.
International help to emergent countries is essential, but must be carefully prepared.
