Photographer's Note

I find Morocco very picturesque because of its people. They wear colorful dresses and they are very spontaneous with the way they conduct their daily lives.Everything that they do has a charm of its own. I took a lot of pictures of the country but my greatest snaps (by my own standard) are the ones that show her people. This is one of them (and there will be more to come). I am very sure my subject was unaware of me. But I am not sure whether I was the only one who took his picture.

Well-seen, Manny. The colours are harmonious and the man fits perfectly in his 'bed'. The white unit is a bit distracting for me and I would be tempted to crop it quite a bit.

Great capture, Manuel. It's a wonderful look into everday life, with a nice humane subject. I like the way you framed this, but Jack's workshop is also good. Well seen!

I guess this guy didn't like air conditionning. Nice shot Manny. I share your views about Morocco. In fact I would like to go back there. I'll start to scan my slides soon. Nice photo.

Really good picture. Funny - the guy is relaxed now - good color in the shade - too bad the air conditionining is there and it doesn't really match with the photo. A cropping will help as momshu & martin suggested. Morocco is on my list to see as well.

wow! this one's superb. The colours are really nice - I like the sharpness of the cart against the background. Don't crop the air-conditioner - it's a perfect balance to the rest. Really good!

Wow, I'm glad I discovered your work, Manuel! This, like your other photos, shows great clarity, and also shows some interesting things about this man, his culture, and humans in general. So it is a success! You may want to experiment with moving him away from direct center, but your other photos certainly show your skill in this area--I like how you push the boundaries just a little.

Colours and sharpness are just right.
Even if Jack's crop is interesting, I most agree with Greg, don't crop the fan, it ought to be there somehow... But maybe just above?

Very funny, Manny. And you're right, the colors of Morocco are wild as I have seen in various TE photography (clodreno's Morocco pics come to mind). It must be a photographer's paradise making me wish to vacation there someday.

Apparently, this is common in Morocco. I just saw another TE picture portraying exactly this!

This pic captures urban Morrocco daily life really well. The composition with the vivid colours dividing the upper part and the wagon leaning out in the light is great. I don´t mind that the guy is in ´dead centre´ at all -it works well on this occassion. My only nitpick is that the ground before the cart is burned out, but that´s a detail.

I agree that it is the colourful Morrocans which make the country a photographers paradise. However, I found it very hard to get myself around to take people shot in the country as it seemed to me that many people disliked the idea of being depicted by tourists. I´m thrilled that you´ve provided such good ones. How did you go about it?

excellent shot! I like the way you cropped it eventhough you may have criticism from other for it.. it gives grandeur and a sense of fatigue like the whole world is weighing on his shoulders... Am I out of my mind? great shot!

Even if the light in the lower bottom right is overexpoced, the hole impression and composition is EXCELLENT, I love it.
