In the old port of Essaouira there are hundreds of seagulls, praying the fishermen for food.

A beautiful spectacle.

Prachtig moment Luc!

Goeie timing. De horizon staat wel een beetje scheef, maar dat stoort niet zoveel. Mooie vrolijke kleuren.

A picture, nearly all over blue ... in combination with the white seagulls - wonderful! Interesting is the different attitude of the wings. But, where is the fish ...!!!??? ;-)

Dit heb je erg mooi weten vast te leggen met dat mooie blauw en de meeuwen in de lucht.
Nu vliegen die vogels daar met tienatllen, maar toch, voor de compositie is dit uitermate goed in beeld gebracht.

Mooie lucht met die meeuwen erin, dat zou op zich al een mooie crop zijn geweest maar de vissers erbij maakt het meer een reisfoto en verhaal. Ook je POV geeft een mooie blik op dit gebeuren.

This a really good shot of seagulls in a feeding frenzy, I've seen and taken a lot of them and this is probably the best because the focus and lighting on most of the gulls is excellent; usually photos only get one or two well. As you note, the blue background is wonderful and the fishermen and the sea complete the compo...Pat

Dag Luc, Erg mooi deze opvliegende meeuwen tegen die prachtig blauwe achtergrond. De verschillende vissers en de koelbox in blauw brengen een zeer mooi evenwicht in dit beeld. Erg mooi werk Luc! Sabine

Hallo beste Luc,

Kwalitatief een top foto, geloof mij maar dit is kwaliteit, zowel de voorgrond dan the meeuwen aan de blauwe lucht maken indruk op mij.
Beste Luc, waar u best oplet in de toekomst is, dat uw horizont mooi vlak is, zo kan de zee nooit leeg lopen! (grapje, antwoord van de foto leraar toen der tijd)

Mooi al die meeuwen die stoutmoedig zo dichtbij komen om hun honger te stillen bij deze vissers, perfecte snelheid om deze sherp te bevriezen en een zonnig beeld Luc, met de zee als achtergrond, duidelijk hoe je shot sugereert wat de vissers aan het doen zijn door die meeuwen.

Dag Luc. Jij bent zeker in je blauwe periode? Mooie momentopname van iets wat toch niet evident is als onderwerp van een foto. Een beetje jammer dat die twee meeuwen aan de linkerkant een beetje uit het beeld vallen, maar ja dat zijn dan ook moeilijke mannequins...

Hi Luc,

I really love this image and it was a perfect opportunity to have a play at trying to change the overall mood...I wanted to give a better presence to the birds whilst keeping the expressin of the guy at the bottom. Still trying our different methods of b/w conversions and this was a nice sharp example to practice with...
