Photographer's Note

Moroccon tribal dance, an interesting subject to tackle but with low lighting and no flash it took me quite a few attempts! Bit brutal to get the focus right so to speak when the dancers were moving around so much but I did manage to get some of the feeling between the constant motion and the dim lighting. Slow enough shutter just to get the suggestion of movements, was what I was after.

Another image, scanned to Tif from the world of film photography, I love the feel of the less than sharp edges, adjusted the contrast a wee bit and superficially dust spot -not too much- as I want to retain the authenticity. The image is framed in the camera at the time of taking and no cropping whatsoever takes place.

There's nothing to brag about, hope you are not suffering motion sickness though....

Hello Abmdsudi,

Notwithstanding with this type lens and a very quick shutter time, would you have to make a very sharp picture.
Pleasant depth and perspective picture with custom colours.

Thank you for not using a flash here ;-). You have definitely captured the exotic atmosphere better through this exposure and the deliberate slight blur. The colours are very well maintained in the scanning process.

Hello Abmdsudi,
we may not get a clear impression of the dance movements but this feels like a glimpse into a mysterious, mystical world. The effect of the exposure shows the group as a compact body synchronized to the rythm. The glow given by the flash against a black backdrop has created a dramatic atmosphere but there's still naturalness in the colours. Congratulations and thank you!

Wow so eye-catching and appealing image at all!
Slow shutter (maybe 1/10 or more slow) makes so fantatsic blurring, that causes the dynamism and very moody atmosphere. Great shot!

Namaste Ab,

Excellent attempt by you taking such a type of image. Moving subjects are alwasy difficult to catch. You manage here very well. Infacto with this image we can feel to be there in the middle of the dance. The smoke is adding feeling of the atmosphere. The right side tourist is a bit disturbing.

Overall a very good picture.
