Photographer's Note
I was asked to take a few headshots of several students - every single one of them (except for one little girl by the name of Mum) displayed this face of firm resolution. There is something about this young man's particular expression that makes one just wonder what he has seen, what is his perspective on things?
There is something about his expression that prevented me from cropping - perhaps it just needs a static composition to convey the same sense of everything in nothing back.

Hi Brittany,
Very strong portrait. One cannot avoid thinking which troubles this boy had in life to have such hard expression, some sadness in his eyes... Dificult to discribe.

Hi Brittany,
Yes, one does wonder. But it's good to see they face the future with strong resolution. In a country like Sierra Leone it is quite often better to firmly face the future, since the past would only be paralizing.
Nice one, Dennis

Un portrait très fort, chargé...comme je ne comprend pas un mot d'anglais, je me contente d'imaginer ce que le regard de cet enfant, dans ce pays, peut signifier...merci pour le partage et félicitations, c'est une belle réussite.

Well taken portrait again,
I must admit that photographs you present here certify your good workshop and underline your good reporter's eye.
Now I wonder why, but I can see in this boy's eyes a look of an "old" well experiences man... but still in the body of a young lad.
I must admit, great work,
Kind regards,
Michal
