Photographer's Note
The Golden Gate National Park is near the Orange Free State town of Clarence. This shot was taken at a lookout point called, very aptly, Red Mountain.
The mountains here are absolutely magnificent. It is just not possible to capture the splendour of this scenery with a camera. Golden Gate is also called South Africa's very own Grand Canyon.

Certainly most impressive. The direction of the sun not only brings out the beautiful colours of the rocks but also provides just enough shadows to provide the relief.

Very impressive and very sharp photo. The colors of the rock layers are beautiful and creates a nice composition with the excellent color of the sky.

This is my kind of scenery! Lovely composition. The mountain really adds weight and gives the photo some stability.
