Photographer's Note

The baobab tree, of the Adansonia genus, is known as "the tree of life." It has cork-like bark that is fire resistant and used for making cloth and rope. The leaves are used to make medicines and condiments. They are known to live for long periods of time and hold large quantities of water. These are in Tanganire National Park.
