Photographer's Note
This is the nave of the cathedral St. Paulus in Münster, a city in the northern part of Nordrhein-Westfalen. It already is the third cathedral on this place.
The first cathedral here was built about 805 when Münster began to be a bishop's see, the second about 990 and the today's church was built about 1225. Its construction time added up to 40 years.
The most valuable work of art besides the astronomical clock is the altar cross, called "Triumphkreuz" ("Cross of triumph") which you can detect in background. It was made from oak wood in 13th century. You can see closer views in workshop.

Hallo lieber Herr Fastnachbar !
mfg

Hello Frank,
It is not easy to photograph in churches which can be dark but with many intruding light sources from coloured windows. This is very well exposed capturing the architectural details clearly. There is motion blur from the people but expected at such a slow shutter speed. Very nice composition.
I particularly like the second shot in your w/s which concentrates solely on the cross.
Have a good Sunday,
Bev :-)

Perfect! Such a dark place and you have got perfect exposure. All the details are clearly visible. And the place is alive, you have people there, Jasmis will be happy. So am I.
Nice to see places one have been to. memories are stirring.
Have a nice Sunday afternoon. The weather in Siegen looks like what we have here at home.

Hallo Frank. Gut gemacht. Gruß, Wolfgang.

Frank,
This is a fine shot of the interior of this cathedral. The center aisle leads the eye into the shot nicely giving the shot a sense of direction. The lighting and colors are great as is the photo's sharpness. Your WS shots are a good addition to the post.

Hello Frank!
Beautiful German Romanesque church. interesting three-nave structure with the cross-walls. Sturdy, yet ethereal structure. Very nice wood carving on the left.
Good perspective, nice colors. I like it.
Welcome to Hungary, Csaba

Hello Frank,
I have heard quite a bit about the Münster Cathedral, and your photo and note add to my knowledge. It's a simple, but elegant way to present a large church, symmetrically, straight up the nave. The astronomical clock, I believe, is what I had heard the most about.
Warm regards, Frank.

Hallo Frank, Excellent interior shot of the church. Clear and sharp with the tripod. I like your respect in using this means to take this picture. Far too many people, and not just American tourists, go into a church with their flash blitzing away when there are worshipers present and it is in such poor taste. Hope you are getting some good weather for a change. Great here today. I sat outside and read the Sunday paper. Have a good week. Regards, Roger

Good morning, Frank.
Very nice is the interior katedy in Münster. It's really beautiful architecture. The interior probably made of sandstone, ornamentation crude and compatible with the period of creation of the temple. Simple frame, nearly symmetrical, well showing the extensive nature of the interior. Natural light preserved natural light inside. Had no easy task, Frank, but you have given excellent advice from the difficult light. The effect is impressive.
Have a nice day,
Jurek

Hallo Frank
Guter Fotojob.
Danke für deine Kritik meines Fischshopfotos. Riechen ist in diesem Markt kein Problem, da ist wirklich alles sehr frisch.
Herzlichen Gruss aus dem Backofen Alor Star

Hallo Frank,
A very good interior photo from this impressive cathedral! You have controlled the light excellently and the colours look very good and natural. A symmetrical composition works well here. Thanks for the WS photos and the link to the astronomical clock image. I had a educational moment in reading about this cathedral and the astronomical clock on the Sacred Destinations web page.
Greetings from Espoo with a cold morning (-14°C),
