Nha Trang, a photo from Khanh Hoa, South Central Coast

Photographer's Note

Here's another photo of Vietnam! This one was taken in a fishermen's village, in one of the small islands near Nha Trang, an important city in the South Central Coast of Vietnam. The boats in background are painted in red and blue, the colours of the boats in this area. In foreground and also on the water, we can see the bamboo coracles.
It was raining when I took the photo.

Olá Ana,

Amazing texture, created by colorful fishermen boats. Their blue bodies are very attractive with red stripes. Your creative way already added authentic fishery baskets perfectly at foreground and their wet surfaces perfectly translates rainy atmosphere there. Very good clarity and sharpness.

Estava tempo de chuva mas mesmo assim as cores e a clareza da imagem estão fantásticas. O recorte das montanhas é muito giro e proporciona um plano de fundo muito agradável.

nice shot...I have just come back from vietnam....and I was in nha trang too. it was a pity for me to arrive there in the late evening and I had no time to walk to the harbour since I was scheduled to leave for da nang with a night train.
as I can see...sky was also grey as it was during my trip!

Olá Anabela, bela sequência de planos com os barcos coloridos a destacarem-se ali no meio. Gosto do impacto que estes cocos fazem no 1ºplano, mas também das montanhas a rematarem o fundo. Curioso dizeres que está a chover pois nunca o advinharia. Se olhar atentamente, até consigo ver o que pode ser o efeito de gotas a cairem na água...

Olá Anabela,
O conjunto compacto e colorido dos barcos faz um belo padrão, que até combina com os tons azulados da água e do tempo chuvoso. Além disso, gosto da compo por níveis, com algum destaque para os grandes cestos em 1º plano e as montanhas envoltas na bruma ao fundo. Isso é que é vício, nem a chuva te impede de fotografar! :-)

First time for me to see baskets as FG subjects and I must say the view is pleasant with the brown color contrasting well with the colorful fishing boats. You picked a good spot to show this POV, especially the direction of the boats.

At first I thought these baskets in FG were for the fish but when I looked at the one in the middle I understood there were small boats.They make for a good starting point and lead nicely the eye to the busy harbour with behind the mountains fading in the far!

Although it's bit late, I wish you a very good year;)

bela e curiosa fotografia com os cestos típicos. Gostei da suavidade da luz, acho até que a cor dos barcos é interessante mas penso que a compo ficaria mais elegante em branco e preto, concentrando a atenção nas formas. de qualquer maneira é um lindo trabalho

Quantos barcos de pesca devem ser centenas tem quase todos as mesmas cores e riscas vermelhas , a paisagem de fundo as montanhas me fez lembrar o Brasil , ficou bonito o primeiro plano com estes cestos de palha , belo ponto de visão , parabéns!!
