As ours friends already said (riclopes, xuaxo, juntas, cricri, tober, Fellini, Urs, emka, siamesa & pauloog) we have a very beautiful views from this castle. In background you can see the Sado River. Next picture I will show you the Arrábida Mountain Natural Park

The Sado River is a river in Southern Portugal, and is one of the major rivers in the country. It flows in a South/North direction through 175 km from its springs in the Caldeirão hills before entering the Atlantic Ocean in an estuary in the city of Setúbal.
In Setúbal, its estuary is famous for being the habitat for a large community of bottlenose dolphins; there are 31 members of the community, of which all have been named (2007).

In its course, it crosses the city of Alcácer do Sal.
It is dammed in several places chiefly for agricultural reasons, such as growing rice, maize (corn) and other vegetables.

Hi Aires,
You have covered a large area from your POV. The clouds has formed a lovely mood in the sky. I like the vast landscape dotted with houses and lush vegetation. The darker blue layer at the horizon perfectly splits the sky from the land mass. Very well placed part of the castle in the image to give the viewer, idea as to how it looks from there.

Hello Aires,
I didn't realize you could see the Sado from Palmela. I didn't know about the windmills either. I missed an opportunity all those years ago -- although the light that day was very hazy. The light and sky in your image are wonderful and I like the use of the castle to anchor the view.

Fotografia muito boa esta também...com a parede no primeiro plano para dar a noção de profundidade! Talvez pudesse ter utilisado uma focal 18 em vez de 30 para ter um panorama ainda mais vasto...

I like both the composition and the panorama one can see here.
The windmills are very nice and interesting focal points and the sky enriches this infinite view with the river in bg. There are a good light and intense colours which make the image very incisive and alive.

Olá Aires. Excelente perspectiva de Setúbal e do Sado. Também tenho uma fotozita com um pov parecido mas está pouco nítida lá ao fundo. Excelentes cores e óptima definição e uma grande profundidade. Um grande trabalho. Um abraço.
