Photographer's Note

My photo was taken some days ago about half an hour before sunset. After a very rainy day sun suddenly came out in late afternoon. The contrast between the dark rain clouds and the landscape bathed in last sunlight was fascinating.

Well, superb light. Amazing. And some kind of miracle - your land looks like a desolate island... :)
I alway wonder how some photographers can take such photos. I'm not so lucky, always someone invades the frame...

C'était le bon moment pour déclencher,la lumière est très belle avec ce chemin superbement éclairé et ce champ en pente.Le ciel magnifie cette image.

A very appealing autumn shot with a lovely subdued late afternoon/early evening sunlight slanting on the gentle slope. Lovely autumn colours, a nice diagonal, and detailed threatening sky. An excellent piece of work, a pleasure to look at.

Hello Frank,
A lovely landscape composition with a kaleidoscope of tones across the landscape. The cloud filled sky brings a particular mood to the scene. Still mild in Charente-Maritime but after a sunny morning the weather is turning dull and promises rain!

This is a very nice landscape shot with fine autumn colors. Your composition is nice with the tire paths leading the eye along the trees line. The colors of the trees provides nice contrast for the green field. The dark clouds and dark landscape in the distance provides excellent contrast for the brightly lit foreground. I only wish you could have included a little more of the trees on the left.

My immediate impression was that these colours are just a bit oversaturated. Then reading your explanation I trust that this is what it really looked like. A marvellous light making the ground look like shining.

A marvellous light! I like your POV here where all the lines are drawn towards a focal point to the left. Even the clouds seem to be oriented in this direction. It would be nice to see some sunlight, like this, here too.

Beautiful colours and wonderful light: I really like the sky.
Good POV. The green slope diagonal and the dark triangle between the green slope and the blue sky really contributes well.
Great depth because of the track accompanied by the trees at the left.

Very powerfull view with a translation from fire to darkness of shadows. The light is perfect and clouds give dynamism to the shot. A nice graphism, simply perfect; nature in its best!

Es gilt bei mir :when ich ein gutes foto sehen will dan besuhe Franks Galery und nie ,got sei dank,eine enteuschung!!!!!!!
Ich kann nur dazu sagen das der himmel nicht freundlich ausieht aber ich konnte ruig da patsch nass werden und weiter die schone farben des wald weg zu geniesen!!!

on rouspète car il fait mauvais temps, mais les nuages, les couleurs, les contrastes sont magnifiques, à gauche toute la rangée d'arbres aux couleurs automnales et le reste de couleur autre, un beau tableau

une belle lumière qui met en valeur la perspective et le calme chemin à l'orée du bois;
un peu moins de ciel bleu aurait avec les nuages allongés encore plus renforcé l'horizontalité de la photo

Hi Frank,

Nice contrasting colors. I think cropping the top a bit would enhance the dramatic effect of this photo- ready to be enlarged (very big) and hung on the wall.

Marvelous quality, Frank. Somebody, some time ago, would say that's perhaps a little too dark, but this would not be me. Perfect. Fascinating place - for flying kite, model planes or for a nice afternoon coffee with or without friends.

ein sehr gutes Beispiel für die Launen der Natur das du uns hier auf eindrucksvolle Weise aufzeigts.Ich musste 2x hinschauen, bei mir in der Gegend gibt es fast die gleiche Landschaft mit einem Weg am Rande des Waldes und einer Wiese die leicht abfällt.Sehr gute Fotoarbeit.
