Hi!
Have been away for awhile and feel ashamed I’ve missed so many nice compos and fallen behind with my comments, but I deserve a holiday after quite a while. We are preparing the foundation ceremony of the Historic Library of Zagora this Sunday 17th August at 11 am and many volunteers, including myself, are working hard for that. Did I say holiday? Sort of… but with plenty of fun and meeting old friends.

The capture is taken on the Horefto beach that I have presented in previous captures. It was absolutely enchanting. Beautiful skies, as usual, and some lone last swimmers. The place where I grew up that I try to visit at least once every year.

Dedicated to my friends from the other side of the Aegean that share Meltem at this time of year.

We see here a wonderful evening picture with soft contrasts in foreground.
The pink colour in sky together with light cloudy sky make these picture very pleasant for look it.

What a superb sky in this nature's scene and you have composed nicely with a gentle curve of the beach. I like the silhouette of 3 people against the sea. A very nice place in which to grow up.

This sunset shot has subtle colours and a subdued light which creates a very calm mood.
The detail of the small, silhouetted figures is very clear.

Αργύρη καλημέρα,
πολύ καλό το σκηνικό από το ηλιοβασίλεμα στο Χορευτό,ένα σκηνικό που δεν το έχω ξαναδεί ποτέ γιατί απλούστατα δεν έχω βρεθεί εκεί τέτοια ώρα παρά μόνο μεσημέρι για μπάνιο..Εξαιρετική απόδοση του ουρανού με τους τελευταίους επισκέπτες της παραλίας να δίνουν ζωή στην φωτογραφία.

Hello Argiris,

This minimalist image presents the high contrasts of colors and black, of the sharp and the diffuse. The expansive image, has the perfectly placed individuals providing a silhouette. I thought of you as the cruise sailed along the Greek mainland. Unfortunately, it did not visit Volos, but it did visit Corful, Catakolon and Mykonos, and terminated at Athens — during the four weeks that spanned 9 nations and 15 ports.

Hi Argiris,

I see you haven't posted for a while... Well I know, sooner or later it comes a period when other aspects of our lives kick in. I hope the ceremony went well and that now you are enjoying much needed time off. Your last posted image is another sea side beauty with overwhelming sky when one wishes to stay in such a beautiful land without worries...forever. The partition is just as it is suppose to be, greatly balanced and with most wonderful colours. Included silhuettes of people add that final touch, giving a sense of inmense vastness of the scenery.

What a kind and elegant dedication! Particularly for me, since I grow up in the Aegean seashores with soft Meltems .
I took many photos expecting a Meltem in the hot sunny days of Izmir(Symirna)this summer:))

With your amazing clouds I liked the deeepness of the sky and the small shadows on the beach. Surely we missed you and your amazing skys and photos for a while.

I think this one is one of the best composition I have seen about the theme "clouded sky and sunset". Not only the sky is a real marvel, but the dark beach with the persons and the long and narrow stripe of sea give a sense of infinity and mistery: a real poem.

Splendide photo d'une fin de journée. Le cadrage finement pensé donne toute sa splendeur à la composition.
Le ciel avec ces nuages qui s'amuse à se rattraper, cette mer qui s'allonge à l'horizon, tous les ingrédients sont présents pour une photographie très réussie.
