Photographer's Note

Thunder clouds form after sunset off the coast of Phuket. The surf of the Andaman Sea creates whirlpools in the foreground.

Tw images blended manually in Photoshop CS5 using luminosity masks and various actions.

This is a magnificent shot of the Andaman Sea, where the extremely slow shutter speed has created a vapor-like state of the water in the foreground, while the sky presents an ethereal, inspirational atmosphere in the background. If it is alright with you, I will deposit this image into a new group theme Paradise on Earth. You have some superb shots in your gallery, with many of them qualifying to be featured there. Hello, this is a very beautiful seascape photo of sunset, with the glowing colors big clouds. Interesting wispy misty water in the foreground due to the 8 second exposure time. Using a tripod really makes a difference, essential realy at this time of day. You have a lovely gallery of images. I am happy to have discovered them.

Très belle photo, le soleil couchant apporte une touche de couleur rouge / oranger qui illumine le paysage, et renforce l'aspect menaçant de la tempête qui s'approche à l'horizon.
