Garraf's pier..., a photo from Barcelona, Catalogne

Photographer's Note

I was visiting the little town of "El Garraf" (about 20-25 km far from Barcelona and really close to Sitges) with my favourite TE-rat when I, suddenly, realised that the light was lovely.

Then...I look at the little pier of the town...and I took that picture.

Unfortunatelly, I waited for someone to walk there but I wasn't lucky.

Anyway, I hope you like it!

Good pov and correct portrait format for this nice harbour scenery. Nice cloudy sky builds a perfect background for the whole scenery.

This is a lot of boats in a single frame! Vertical format makes it deeper, dramatic sky and gray color tones do the atmosphere...

Hello Oscar.
A lovely shot, with a warm atmosphere thanks to the gentle colours just above the horizon and the stillness of the water. You composed it very well to show the channel snaking out between the yachts towards the sea. And that's a dramatic sky, of which you have shown us a lot in your picture. Nicely done.

Hola Òscar,
una altra foto, per fi. La textura dels núvols i la llum al cel fan pensar en un HDR, són realment dramàtics.
M'agrada el format vertical per contraposar aquest cel impressionant amb els velers i els seus pals al port.

PS: tal com li vaig dir al Carlos, podria ser interessant muntar amb temps un TE Meeting a Barcelona per quan faci més bon temps, potser a la primavera, en podríem parlar no?

Hello Oscar,

The very nice and very impressive sky well colected give a praticulary athmospehr mysterious to this vertical composition. The alignement of the boats give a very plesant graphic effect rich in rythm and in dynamism. Very good managment of light too nad greta depht.

really the light was perfect at the end of the day and very proper for a good photo.I like the perspective and the depth of the scene that lead the eye on the far end of the horizon.

Seems like the boats are ready to leave the marina!
I notice this was taken during Christmas week so i guess that is a bit too early, but in not too many weeks spring and summer is back...
Good details and fine repetition effect in the masts, great light in the horizon!

Hello Oscar, the vertical format is ideal in this shot, it accommodates the long masts of the boats & the cloudy sky really well. Lovely colour & light, especially in the sky.
