Spring ???, a photo from Nordrhein-Westfalen, Ouest

Photographer's Note

My photo was taken yesterday afternoon during a short hike in the mountains outside my city, Siegen.
Though temperature up there only was about 4°C there was something like spring in the air ... and we even have seen a caterpillar. It still wore a winter coat - please see ws photo ;-)

Wheather forecast for this evening: fresh snow - up to 15 cm, temperatures at 0°C, and in the following night about -8°C ...

Hallo Frank,

wie du im Nachgang eindeutig beschreibst, wird der Winter wohl nochmal ein kurzes Gastspiel geben, aber je weiter wir in den März kommen, umso näher kommen wir ann den Frühling ran..

Non , non ... ce n'est pas encore le printemps :) Mais il n'empêche que la composition est très belle , lumineuse , avec un beau ciel en arrière plan .

Hello Frank,
A fine composition of this tree waiting for the first real signs of spring. I like the way the road draws us into the scene and the shadow play across the road. A very pleasing ambient light combined with good natural colours and excellent sharpness. Greetings from a bright but chilly Charente-Maritime (1 degree).

Hello Frank,
An inspiring and lovely photo. The grass has clearly just got rid of its layer of snow, and maybe even as far south (relatively) as the Siegen area, it may be wise to include those question marks in the title of the photo. As you can see from my upload from Stockholm today, winter is still very much alive in Scandinavia.

It does look like spring might be coming! At least there is no snow! Your composition is nice with the road leading the eye through the shot. The lighting and colors are fine and the photo has nice sharpness.

Hallo lieber Frank,
So etwas efaellt mir besonders ! Undzwar nach dem gestrigen Beitrag (Reihe katolischer Nonnen) ganz ganz besonders.
Ironischerweise hatte auch ich heute an eine aehnliche Szene gedacht dann ging dieses huebsche Haus aus Aizonai.
Hier bei Deinem Betrag koennte man fast sagen, dass sei irgendwie aus der suedlicheren Sphere. So typisch mit Farben, licht und Himmel.

Good morning, Frank.
Today, nothing I am no longer sure. Only started in March and at least two weeks will last for a calendar winter. No, it's not spring. This March mocking us. Today in Poznan, poured thick snow. However, it is good to look at this picture full sun. It is good to dream at this picture and the warm and flowery spring. Here is a lovely light and beautiful sky. However, it is not spring yet, Frank.

Hi Frank,
Where did all the snow go? It must have disappeared very rapidly. This is a beautiful photo, a marvellously composed landscape picture. Everything is perfectly placed. The cloud surrounds the bare tree and the little road curves elegantly into the far away valley. Fantastic!

Oh yes, spring in the air there, even that in the forecast you will have again new snow. We cannot imagine this kind of view earlier than several weeks from now. A very good composition and perspective. The road curves away very invitingly, the slightly curving line of the slope and the tree in a perfect place are other good details. Beautiful light and colours and excellent sharpness. The sky is also gorgeous. TFS!

A good stitch Frank and, yes, it could have been spring except for the temperature. Good positioning of the tree to balance the bare fields.

Great composition with road and tree in the appropriate position. The sky adds a lot to the pleasure of the simple view.
It may not be spring, but at least there is no snow.
Anyway, with +4ºC it would never be spring here in the zone of Lisbon. In the coldest nights of the deep winter, the temperatures rarely drop below +5ºC here.
