Photographer's Note

Goa located in S.W. India is bounded by the state of Maharashtra to the north and by Karnataka to the east & south, while the Arabian sea forms its western coast.

With the paddy fields being irrigated at the moment, huge colonies of birds come to feed in the water.

Most of Goa's soil cover is made up of laterites which are rich in ferric aluminium oxides and reddish in colour.

This photo was taken in the rice fields around my house.
