Photographer's Note

This is a small lake that is located in dense forest around 40 km from Trondheim in central Norway. Obviously the lake carries fish, since someone took the trouble of building a boathouse on the shore – the only reason anyone will keep a boat here is for fishing…

But that is not my point this time! Some times – quite often in fact – I discover things in images when I start processing on the computer, things I didn’t notice while photographing! Most of the time it is rather insignificant matters but once in a while something interesting. Like in this image.

If you study carefully you will see a number of quite large logs on the bottom of the lake. Obviously they are logs cut by man and not natural falls, but why on Earth are they on the bottom of a remote lake?

The size and number of logs tell they once were of a certain value, before they were so soaked by water they sunk. I wonder why they weren’t rescued to begin with…

Well my point is simple: Does it happen to you too that you discover interesting things in images when processing, things you didn’t notice before?
