Zhabdrung Kuchoe religious festival commemorating the death anniversary of Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyel, the founder of Bhutan, takes place on the 10th day of the third Bhutanese month each year.

Here, a young monk prepares to play dungchen (long horn) in Jakar Dzong courtyard.

Great play with the lines in the frame. The big horn way down leads to the face/focus up in the scene. Only regret here is that the circle of the horn end isn't complete. Still, great picture, if you ask me. Thanks for sharing.

super perspektywa!Pierwszy plan sprawia,ze odnosimy wrazenie jakby zdjecie bylo trojwymiarowe.No i oczywiscie sam "model",ktory sprawia,ze zdjecie jest tak wyjatkowe i egzotyczne dla nas.

Nice foreshortened view of the long horn, and with the inclusion of the monk/player, it is an interesting exercise in complex framing. I hope you got out of the way before he started blowing!

Your composition and framing of this image is spot on - superb. The perspective of the horn leading from the foreground to the young monk greatly helps top draw your eye into the picture.

Witaj Kasia,
Kiedy przegladalem twoja galerie zauwazylem ze odwiedzilas wiele egzotycznych miejsc.
Bhutan to kraj malo pokazywany na TE z tego wzgledy bardzo sie ciesze z kolekcji zdjec z tego kraju.
Wspaniala kompozycja z dluga perspektywa poprzez instrument ktory prowadzi wzrok do mnicha.
