Photographer's Note
About 1 km west of Angkor Wat there is a place offering helium balloon and helicopter rides to give you a different view of Angkor Wat and Phnom Bakheng. I chose to go up in the tethered balloon. A 10 minute ride costs foreigners $15 (Cambodians ride for $7.50).
The ride is smooth, though other riders moving can make the cage you're in feel a little unstable.
This was taken around 5PM and about as late as you would want to go unless you are willing to shoot with a high ISO. The facility closes at 5:30 PM.
