Where there is light, there is life...

While on an early morning walk when I spotted the poor fisher folk on that little boat struggling on the Mighty Mekong River whilst trying to keep up against the tidal stream beneath the blazing sun. It was heartening to see them out at work even before the sun came up.

This was taken at Kampong Cham before the lighting became too harsh and the chance to capture the moment as I didn't want that to pass me even though the contrast was so strong that I've had to work a bit to balance it out.

Just a simple shot & polarised to cut the glare, I liked the mood I thought worthy of an airing, but you may always disagree with this statement....

Setting: 170 mm, 1/250 sec, F32, ISO Raw 200, 0657 hrs
