Daily life in Zaoxing, a photo from Guizhou, Centre

women work as usual, and men look at them sitting in the edge of the street.... I noticed this everywhere in the villages I visited. Maybe that some men were working in the terraced fields?

I shot this picture in front of our hotel, "Zhaoxing Wooden Tower Inn", a very characteristic one, but a bit cold in the winter. Anyway, I enjoyed a lot to stroll along this village! It is perhaps the most lovely Dong people village I saw in my trip.

Zhaoxing is a bigger village in the southern Ding dialect region. The village is divided into five parts according to family groups that each has one roofed bridge and one drum tower. The tallest tower is 25 meters high without any iron nail or rivet. Wooden tenons and mortises connect the tower. Inside the tower are carved figures of people, animals of flowers full of Domg's color. The drum tower is a place where the Dong people gather together for important decision, singing and entertainment.

Hi Livia!
I just love these type of pictures. Too bad that the picture is not really crisp. Try to use "Unsharp Mask" in PS, might work really well and easy to use.
The POV with the bridge in the foreground works really well, Good Job.

As always your compostion presents many interesting details: The bamboo or log brige, the stream the rock wall, the working women and the watching men.

Very interesting composition indeed.
i would say that this photo lacks sharpness but personlly I don't really care much ... I love the emotion and mood that you seem to be representing in this photo
