Photographer's Note

A natural facial profile of an old woman, seemingly nonchalant expression and a sense of well being. With a smile like that I think, she must have melted many hearts in her younger days. Captured in natural light under shade at a busy market in downtown Chengdu.

An excellent side portrait of this old lady, we can see the details of her face really well and she stands out perfectly from the blurry background. Also the other face in the shades in the foreground is well included.

As always sensational in these portraits, playing with the effect of shadows and lights and also with focus and blur, the lady with her face full of wrinkles stands out as in 3D. while the closest girl we see it diffuse, the same as the rest of the shot.
Well done. I love it.
