Photographer's Note
30 May 2007, Shanghai, China
It's the morning of day one on my visit to China and no sooner than I step out of my hotel to take a walk when I am present with the odd scene of a newly-wed couple having their official wedding photos taken right in the middle of the street in front of me.
I stood there watching them and their photographic entourage for a moment while a street hawker tried to sell me a slice of a large nutty cake.
By the way they were posing, the looks on their faces and the fact that we were standing in the middle of a busy road soon being quite carefully stage managed by the two attending photographers made it apparent that this was no normal wedding. It might not have even been an actual wedding at all. As seems to happen so often when out taking photos I scratched my head, took a few frames and went about my day.
And the following morning, when I rose and stepped outside, the same scene was before me once more. A new couple, new photographers but same spot and premise!
I don't normally photograph weddings but here I make an exception...!

Hi Mike
Very sharp with good detail. The extreme tilt really makes this image. A unique capture. Well done.

I remember you telling me when we met that you were after more randomness in your images, and you've no doubt got it here. Quite good how the bride and groom are surrounded by thep photographers, girl and bike...the tilt help adds a bit of extra crazyness to this daily life scene.

Dude that's random.
Image meter taker in the top pocket with the lovers in front of a bright blue bus! Throw a bike mit ryder in the mit two photographers in the bottom layer and you got yourself a weird and strange fix. Love it mate.
