this was taken at the ming sha dunes in dunhuang. i thought it looked like lost driftwood (maybe it was driftwood???). no idea how it got there, but it was such an interesting contrast with the dunes. i originally photographed it in color, but kind of felt that the b&w gave it more of a morose feeling.
