motorcycle lady's summer time#3, a photo from Hainan, Sud

Still this lady.
i knew her very well, she was so kind to everybody.
But for no famale motorcycle driver at the time,
people always strange to look at her,
not many people like to take her motorcycle,
she waited and waited, from the early morning to night.

It was so hot in summer in this subtropical city.
At noon when the sun was biggest in the sky,
the male drivers can go to teahouse to have some tea
and chatting for rest.
but she could not to do that for the custom not allow.

She waited and waited, thinking about her blind husband,
her little son, her older mother in law and older father in law,
she had to wait.

Sometimes her son missed mother would
come from courtryside to look for mother.

Hi Mingfang. such a touching story you are telling... it is really great reportage, you are very talented with this. the photo is great, so warm and kind the woman is here, in the other photos she is more stoic, more strong like ice, here she is looks like she is melting from the love of her son. I like the hight contrast and the effect of the flash, to really single them out. nice work.

Such a beautiful story to go with your shot, Mingfang. It is clearly superb. A wonderful capture of this motorcycle lady you have been reporting in the past posts... this one is the most dramatic in its lighting... a beautiful moment of the child cuddling the mother working away, their unity within the darkness, but the mother's face still shines as does her white blouse in the darkness. So beautiful. Mingfang, you have a lot to give, really. You are a magical photographer.
With what's most important, a throbbing heart!
