Photographer's Note
Yes, it's him. Going to Hong Kong this time is like on a Safari hunt, I caught the bus #70 from Admiralty MTR station to Aberdeen in order to see him. He was with his usual chess buddies in which an intense match was going on. Him, he just sat there smiling into the empty space. He may not look tidy nor rich but he seems content with his life and that's more than what most of us could say.

Nice portrait, thien. I like the sepia treatment and DOF here. He does seem to be quite a character! Well done!

Hi Thien, great to see another shot of one of the most popular folks around for us. The toning here works well, it is a little more pink than normal, but looks good nonetheless. The only slight suggestion is that while I like the way you have used the pillar on the left to frame this, I wish you had used just a little less of the pillar in the shot.
Your note it good too. What you say is very true, this guy seems extremely content and comfortable with himself. There is no pretense or apprehension for him when one takes his photos, he just is who he is.

Welcome to the TCG community, member #5...
You've passed the test hands down (though I agree about the blurred pillar comments...). Rule #1 is not to listen to fake TCG members who pretend to know the guy but never posted any pic of the TCG down (and who I call chicken, see what I mean , Maciek?).
Btw, now you will have to pull out all of your teeth except one (did I forget to mention that small condition?)...

This gentleman is so popular to photographers who selected Hong Kong as destination. Among their work on this subject, I found your photo my favorite.

I love the treatment of this picture with the Sepia tones. The pose and composition of this picture is just perfect, a classic amongst classics. What also makes this picture special is seeing the Theme with this genrleman as the topic, it is a visual record of someone who living in an area over a period of time. The note provides a little more depth to his character and complements the photo well.
