Photographer's Note
In the background of this photo you can see the Diamond Hill district of Kowloon. In Chinese it is called Tsuen Shek Shan.
The Buddhist Chi Lin Nunnery is in the middle of the photo (surrounded by trees). It was built according to the style of the Tang Dynasty and is a tourist sight.
In the foreground is the Hammer Hill sports ground.
This is the second photo that I have posted from this area. The first one, Choi Hung - the rainbow estate, could be stitched just to the left of this one.
Tech: Resized for TE. Brightness +3. Contrast +9.

Hello Andrew. I can't help being impressed each time I see such a compact mass of buildings. The result is rather graphical here, and they seem like an urban monster taking its rights, little by little, upon what remains of nature in the foreground (the park behind the stadium). Nicely composed.

Bonjour mon ami Andrew,

Hong Kong is perceived here in our "village" as a big, high and concentrated town.; So you provide this in the circle of scrappers, the Nunnery, the green part and the stadium are for this part of the town just like a green hart.
So this is very well shown in a very good picture.
i like it

I had missed the first post from this region Andrew, so I am really glad to catch this one. I am always really impressed when I see those incredible towers all over the skyline. I beleive that they contain more people then my whole city (Quebec 400 000). Eally good photo with all those different levels.
Nicely done.

A good comprehensive photo, Andrew, in which the sheer graphical impact of the residential skyscrapers is quite absorbing - as is the way in which they divide the foothills from the urban foreground where the stadium is an interesting element. This must have been quite difficult to keep below 200 KB, but you managed to bring it in good quality.

Another impressive urban Hong Kong shot, Andrew, showing again the unexpected contrasts of this densely populated area. And again in an amazing clarity, all the way from the players on the sports ground (baseball? cricket?) to the power lines at the mountain ridge. If your Choi Hung shot brought the impression of Dinky Toys and miniature railways, the Diamond Hills bring the impression of Lego parts. And again you've handled the light very well and also made a very appealing composition. Mentioning that the two images could be stitched together, make me expect a wonderful panorama later from this sight. Very well done!
