Photographer's Note
Continue this motorcycle lady's story.
This lady was very unfortunate,
but I think it is hard to understand for the foreigner,
because of different cultural background.
After one year of her marriage,
her husband suddenly blinded,
suffering surrounded this ever happiness of family.
at the time, her son only seven months old,
and her husband's father and his mother
have almost seventy years old.
In china, Man is still the main support of a family,
especially in the rural area.
face the realities, the lady didn't know what she could do,
only with tear in eye day by day.
But at last,
she decided to rode motorcycle for her family.
for the custom, that is not easy for her.
She had to suffere so much, and worked so hard.

It was worth to wait for the second part of this woman's story. This one is a very well done portrait. It makes me think to the kids stories of James Nachtwey in Indonesia. It's not always necessary to add comments to pictures, but in this case your words gives another dimension to it. I must say I prefer the first photography maybe because it's more mysterious but technically this one is very good as well. I really wonder what is she thinking about.

Hi Mingfang. Amazing story... I am glad you are writing it here because in the book I cannot read it! well, the photo is great, the composition is good and the woman's stare is very distant... she must think a lot while she waits to take somebody. Great work.

Dear Mingfang, indeed a very sad and moving story. Her face reveals the hardship she has suffered, and her shown in the midst of men bike riders your story is echoed even stronger... excellent work, Mingfang... I love your photos. There is always a human element to them which is really special.
Take care,

她也是下一张里的那个女性吗?
她看得像很年轻的,
看不像她有孩子的。
她没化妆,没传得好衣服,
真男子气的。
或者环境让她看像那样。。
你的文章让我想起到关于她的很多事情了。
