Butter lamps, Bodhgaya, a photo from Bihar, Est

Photographer's Note

Butter lamps burning in the main temple at Bodhgaya. For anyone who has ever traveling in India and know how incredibly hectic and wareing it is, I would recommend Bodhgaya. Found at the end of a dusty road out of Gaya, and reputibly the place of Buddha's enlightenment it is a Buddist peacefull haven. The town is basically made up of monastries from all Buddist orders around the world, some of which you can lodge in while you soak up the atmoshpere.

Hi Duncan,
I have to disagree with Arnab. I find that the butter lamps alone create a textured pattern and anything else in this photograph could become distracting. Very interesting colours and great shot!

This is a stunning picture. Excellent POV. The repetitive patterns of the lamps has been beautifully presented. It makes me long for Bodhgaya.
