Photographer's Note
I shot it at sonpur fair,Bihar,INDIA.Sonpur internationally famous for the large fair held on the occasion of Kartik Purnima, So far as religious aspect of Sonepur Fair is concerned, special significance is owing to the temple of shree Hariharnath and the site of the battle of Gaj-Grah and rescue of the former by Hari During Kartik Purnima Ganga Snan or ceremonial bathing in the Ganga is held by Hindus to be unusually efficacious. On the day of full moon (Kartik Purnima) immense crowd assembles and take bath. The Mela commences on that day and lasts for more than a fortnight. The Shiva temple, Kali temple and other temples and historical religious monuments are situated here and social and economical activities are at the highest peak during the Mela period. People come here to pay their oblation to the lords .It is the largest fair of its kind in the world, for it is a fair specially for the trade of animals. Cattle, horses, camels and elephants can be seen in large numbers. It attracts a huge number of people, not only from all over Bihar, but also from other parts of India and foreign countries.

Clever perspective from Subir. I just love how you put the woman's face behind this windmill-like weave.

Hi Subir,
Her eyes strikes....
Her smiles hidden....
The BINDI is her Identity....
Life is so strange...and this is another reflection from the village....
These graphic designs made by them years ago still is powerfull, and we all run after it... simple, yet lovely.
Where are we going ? Are we driving away from the villages?
Have to think deep....
A reminder... a thought....
Take care, dear Subir.

Very good shot Subir'da. I don't know how, under the circumstances, you could have improved the shot further. Keeping both the yes was important here, I mean the way you wanted to present the shot and you are successful in that respect.

To whom it may concern,
Recently I have conducted business Subir Basak. In the course of getting to know him, I found him to be an immensely unique and energetic photographer. Subir's eye for capturing a droplet in time is simply brilliant. Working with him was a pleasure. When I needed a specific photo for a web project that I was working on, I was able to find it with Subir. Many, many other photo stock agencies and photographers did not have the desired photo that I needed, Subir however did.
I look very much forward to working with Subir in the future and encourage everyone to do the same.
Best regards,

I like the basket in the foreground. Gives pic a graphic composition. Also adds intrigue to see the woman behind through the spokes. Here, a bit narrower depth of field would help put emphasis on the basket and the woman, by putting the background jumble out of focus.
