We are quite lucky to get the rhino in a stone throw throw distance. Jaldapare is famous forits one horned Rhino. We had gone here 9 years before but did not met but this time we are lucky to have a view.

About JaldaparaWild life Sancturies:

Jaldapara is famous for one horned Rhinoceros. It is situated about 124 away from Siliguri under Alipurduar sub division in Jalpaiguri district. The sancturiey was formed in the year 1941 for the protection of wildlife. Besides one horned Rhinoceros there found wild elephants,Spotted deer,Bison,wild pigs, Samber, Barked deer and innumerable birds. River Torsha is flowing inside Jaldapara. The total area of the sancturiey is 114 sq km.

Apnar ager chobitao dekhlam ar etao, eta onek onek bhalo. Both the rhino and the elephant in the picture. Khub sundar chobi.

Good shot from nature, Have seen the rhinos in Kaziranga but never been here in Jaldapara. Maybe sometime soon. TFS.

Hi Partha,
I agree with what Poulomi has already said, it is an improvement over your previous post and in my opinion one of the best wildlife shots I have seen around recently. I was there in Holong around this time last year and though we did spot the Rhino, couldn't pull off one decent shot as the elephant was always on the move. Here too your elephant must have been crossing the river and considering the space constraint atop the elephant, you have done a very good job here.

Nice and lovely scene Pharta, I think this is an amusing meeting, I like well the image that have good colours and over all good composition and perspective, compliments.
