Photographer's Note
I got this nice pose in Delhi Botanical Garden. I got frustrated not to get a nice one after going 2 consecutive days due to thick fog almost whole day but the third day proved to be successful.
Painted stork is a tropical species, belonging to the stork family of Ciconiidae. The bird is found in the Asian continent, covering the area from India and Sri Lanka to Southeast Asia. Broad-winged soaring birds, the Painted storks of India fly with their neck outstretched. They are resident birds and are found in Indian lowland wetlands, with trees.

Hi Tushar,
I think this was a really great capture, especially from a point and shoot camera. Every one I have ever used was not a conducive tool to getting subjects in motion unless I was very lucky. With my camera now, were I ready for the stork, I would just keep my finger on the shutter while panning with his movement and somewhere in there I would get a sharp photo. I don't think that is possible with your camera, but maybe it is - I have never used one.
So, we start out with a great capture, now I think it needs a few things before it is presented, so I did a workshop - I hope you don't mind - to straighten the photo out and try to sharpen up the stork - your lens focused on the areas of highest contrast, which would be the black edges of the wings. The most important part of him is fuzzy - the eyes and face. I couldn't help it much there without distorting other parts, but I did what I could.
That is a beautiful bird and you were really fortunate to get a shot of him in flight - this is a classic shot, I think. Great effort!
Thanks for sharing!

Hi Tushar.
What a beautiful shot.and a very difficult subject. It's never easy to capture a moving subject.
3 days for one photo, but the result is very good.
I like the colours of the bird.
Congratulation for your patience.

Hi Tushar, A very good image.. I agree a faster shutter speed freezes the image, as you have done in your image.. This is a very unusual bird, with its short body and long beak and neck. Good shot

Hello Tushar
This is a beautiful photograph of a majestic bird in flight. The timing was perfect with the wings wide open.
The light was also very good and shows the nice colours on the head and beak.
A couple of small suggestions would be to make the water line horizontal and sharpen the picture with a sharpening tool in a post process software, like Photoshop. Both these small modifications would make this picture even more powerful.
A really nice photograph, congratulations.
