Photographer's Note

I have been taking a lot of photographs these days, but have not shared any of them online. I do not know why. I am more happy keeping them with myself for the moment.

Some of them I could share, and this is one of those rare ones.

Late evening - almost night - and the crowd suddenly swells in the pandals housing the Durga Puja celebrations in New Delhi. A cloud of dust rises outside, lit brilliant yellow with sodium vapour lamps. People barge in through a wide entrance and disperse with rapid ease among the rest of us.
