A shepherd walks along the road near Kunzum pass in Spiti Valley. The expression on the sheep's face is amazing. The shepherds are called "Gaddi's" in India they walk hundreds of kilometers every year with their sheep and goats crossing various high altitude passes and grasslands. Its a difficult life but most of the Gaddi's I have met on the way seem to be really happy and satisfied. Often one can find them whistling and talking to their heard ! I wonder why?
