Photographer's Note
A valley without a name (only because I have absolutely no idea.)
The starting point was down at Sonamarg and you just keep climbing up and up and up. What was really nice about this trek wwas all the Gujjar peple we saw returning to the high pastures and all the spring flowers. Here in the foreground are just hundreds negh thousands od flowering Dwarf Irises.
One of the prettiest walks I have done.

Hi Simon! Great valley! I love the diagonal of the slope. It has a misty/dreamy air which is very romantic (part of it may be the scanning, of course, but it creates a nice mood). The shadow on the left makes our eyes concentrate on the rest of the picture (the valley itself and the distant mountains).
Well done!

Inés

Hi Simon,
excellent view and POV.The only problem is the overexposed top of the mountains.

Hi Simon,
I looked in your travelogues to see if you'd talked about your trip to Uzbekistan and lighted on the fascinating story of 4 days to India, via Afghanistan. Clearly, I have yet to embark on any real travels!!
Anyway this is a gem!! The detail of the iris in the FG, The valley leading up the mountains and the V of sky make a very well-composed work, the excellent light management and sharpness show the natural beauty at its best.
HLJ, Pat
