Photographer's Note
Back to India and Curzon trail.
This is not far from the image "Twisted trees" of my last post from India. You can see similar trees, but not the same.
On the edge of this cliff, we had an amazing view to another valley and the guide was explaining the name of the several places and what we still had to walk this day. It was about noon and we still had to go all the way down to the very bottom of this valley and ascend to the very top of the other side, passing near by those colorful terraces fields. It was a long way, but with a fantastic scenery, so it was not that hard.

Hi Ricardo
What a breathtaking view over this valley. The twisted tree is very distinctive and makes a strong visual element while the people add a lot to the composition and indicate the scale of the landscape. A fabulous shot.

Great shot! I like the way you used the two people in the shot to give this a human touch. It really makes it easy for us to imagine that we are there. What a great view too, with the valley stretching out in front of us. This seems almost 3 dimensional. Excellent!

I remember those trees!
I like how the frame is divided into two halves, with the twisted trees dominating one side of the frame.
Good positioning of the two people, and the fact that they are looking out at the view invites us to follow the direction of their gaze.
Good work Ricardo.
Cheers,
Ben

Ola Ricardo,
Wow! What a view! I really like the way you have composed the photo, with the tree occupying half of the space on the right. The depth of the photo is amazing and the presence of the two persons gives us the scale of this beautiful landscape. I like the way one of them is explaining something to the other and I feel as if I was there with them.

Excelente!

Hello Ricardo,
A stunning view!
I like the effects of the side light that gets out the details, that goes for foreground and the valley below...
Strong foreground interest creates great feeling of depth, and the rice terraces in the middle of the forest is a nice element!

Ola Ricardo,
I expect that this trip more than made up for not skiing. The framing is outstanding; the detail of the tree and the two much-smaller men discussing the trail ahead provide an exception frame frame for th valley below. The valley with its terraced fields receeeding into the mist could be stand alone as a composition. To my favorites, SAA, Pat

Amazing photo! I love the compo here and the colors of the fields below. The fields seems quite familiar to the terracing of the inkan city of Machu picchu. Nice sharpness and those twisted trees really add something to the picture and gives it balance. thx for sharing!

Hi Ricardo,
Well composed, with the character trees on the right nicely balanced by the two hikers. There is good depth, and while might wish for more colour in the valley, the exposure level is right on, with a nice splash of hue provided by the yellow and orange fields referenced in your note. A very fine vista, with good clarity of detail. Its a keeper.

One of your best from the trek? possibly, but then I would have said this more times before & each time, my friend, you give us another surprise. I like your framing on this with the tree on one side & your two willing subjects on the left looking at the vast expanse in front...I also know you've battled high contrasts of light here & have come out trumps. Phenomenal depth & my eyes goes to the terraces like a magnet because of the colours they provide

Hej Ricardo,
I like the contrast you created with the placement of the nicely shaped tree and the people in the foreground. Must be fantastic to have such an impressive landscape as in this valley right in front of you while standing on such a high cliff. The composition is also good. Well done and thanks for sharing!

Ah! India? Are you sure? Is is some kind of test to see if people will really look at your photo? NO! It's not rice! It's not Vietnam or China! No. It's India and it's... millet!!! Funny thing is that when I go in food stores, few people know about millet. I guess I am one of the rare one who eat millet. ;) I have to say that it makes very colorful and beautiful terraces fields. I also very much like the tree with its twisted branches. Again, that makes me think of some fascinating trees you can see in Japanese paintings. Oh well, if you say it is India, I'll believe you. After all, I think you are a good guy! :)))

Hola Ricardo.
Felicitaciones. TFS.

What a fabulous photograph of a fabulous view, Ricardo. I'm adding this to my favourites as this is a place that I would dearly like to visit one day. A superb POV and even without the twisted trees on the right, this would be a great landscape shot, but those trees, and the light reflecting off the leaves, really lift this shot to a new level. The depth and definition are excellent. Great work and one of the best that you've posted. Cheers . . . David

Such a grand scenery ! I was lead to this photo by your last post , that I also like a lot - I have those stupid prejudices about placing "non natives" in a shot and try to avoid this generally, but here at the corner of the photo, the "tourist" plus the guide are not disturbing, they give also some scale to the whole picture and there is the beautiful gesture of the guide showing something in the far...
Bravo,
Cath.
