Quick snack with a view, a photo from Uttarakhand, Nord

Photographer's Note

Last one of this very small village, lost in the midle of the Himalayas. In India, many 'indoor' daily life activities are done 'outdoors' and particulary at the front door. In cities, I saw frequently people washing their teeth at their front door, many times while still dressed in their pijama. Actually that's what I thought this scene was, when first looked at it.
This working woman, was making a break, while having a quick snack (dry cereals, I think). I would do problably the same, while enjoying the view to the mountains.

I like this a lot. I think all parts of the capture are good balanced in the composition but also technical wise well done. Natural colours, good contrast, fine sharpness and light. The textures on the walls are visible, also her skin is textured.
Your note is a nice addition to explain the capture.

As daily life scenes go this is one of the best! You captured the woman with her snack so naturally and just at the right moment as she puts the food to her mouth. Also she is placed perfectly in the frame looking into and not out of it. All the daily life possessions around her add wonderful interest.

I hope not the last one from your trip in India :) A pleasant daily life scene, with the woman standing in a relax and natural pose, while having some food (it's true, if she did not hold a plate, one could think she is washing her teeth). Many things to see in that charming and peaceful place.

This picture is interesting because the woman dress and her position, for me is like !be careful or you will fall!. I never beein in a plce like that, but i ave the sensatin I'm beeing there.

I like the workshop, is more brigh and more alive, but both are pretty.

Além de conseguires apanhá-la no momento certo, conseguiste enquadrá-la maravilhosamente. Simple photo with a good, neutral background to set the woman against. Its a small etail but I like the gentle way she has her right foot set on the floor...a bit off to the side, a bit like a ballerina actually.

Gosto do lençinho à minhota no cocoruto da cabeça. Aquele bocadinho de vermelho ali faz toda a diferença. A composição está boa e o momento em que clicaste também. Não há muito mais para dizer aqui. Muito bem.
PS. Ainda não me habituei a ver imagem neste formato 4/3. Tens mesmo de arranjar uma SLR ;)

Foste tu que lhe pediste para pôr o lenço na cabeça? É verdadeiramente um excelente ponto de interesse na imagem que, já por si, é muitíssimo boa. A luminosidade está perfeita e não criou um único ponto sobre-exposto. As paredes brancas saíram com todos os pormenores ao ponto de se poder contar quantos blocos foram necessaries para construir a parede. Gosto muito. É excelente.

Hi Ricardo, this is agood daily life shot, capturing her in her natural environment. There is a lot of interesting detail in this one to hold the viewer's eye. Another aspect that I like is the contrast between her colourful headwear and the white-washed wall. All in all, an excellent photo.

Excelente foto para a categoria daily life. Gosto muito dos detalhes, incluindo as abóboras. É interessante como ela está com naturalidade em cima duma pedra daquela largura; certamente aqueles pézinhos estão mais que habituados a trepar por pedras, montes e vales.
Noto as janelas pequeninas. Deve ser para não entrar tanto frio no inverno.
F
