Photographer's Note
Migration of Daily Labors- Me and Sandip took these pictures in some construction sites in Bangalore. See all pictures here
======================================================
......While some workers stay in nearby field in tents, some do temporary arrangement in the same building where the construction is going on. They do not get enough money to rent a room. This boy works for the whole day and sleep in this place at night! behind the glass sheet.

Nice shot Arindam!
Good capture and well done compo! The grain sure adds a feel to it all and the B&W is in place!

Hello Arindam. I like the composition very much, with the reflection in the window, the place of the worker... but it looks strange around his arms and head near the wall, like there is a glow from him... perhaps it is from the grain?

I think this photo is a bit dark for my choice..Dark may not have any problem if the subject is well composed.. but here i found the entire frame is a bit dark and thats why new people ( who are seeing photo not by artist's name but by the image itself )may not be very much curious to see a bigger size after seeing the thumbnail... thumbnail tricks is also a big part to take the attention...
... so thats where it lacks...for me it is a different situation.. i know the place and the people and the moment u shoot...i know the environment... i would rather suggest you to make f stop a little bit low.. may be to f/4 or something...with 1/20 sec or so..( poweshot G6 can have that stop at the lower or even lower than that ) you should have got the light great as well as the sharpness...
... and about the PP, somehow i feel the background wall is not real here... it is too flat in my choice...
still i will give you two smiley because i know how difficult it was to shoot there with such light..

Hey Arindam,
wow, Im impressed by the depth of this series. You are really doing work that is meaningful instea dof being just pretty. The black and white is very nice. I like it this dark, it makes the whole place seem dritier and grungier and it really hits us in the gut: HE HAS TO SLEEP THERE?

I find the composition here very strong
Your note is amazingly hard and painful
The light is very difficult here ( I need more, too dark) .
But the reflection makes up for it
The graffiti reflected on the glass is good detail

Hi Arindam, the image is a too dark in my opinion, and lost something.
the composition, as the subject are very beautiful and unusual.
the POV and the black and white are very good.
thanks, ciao

Another superb B&W "daily life" photo. Piece of art, no doubt. Highest quality and deep impression. Bravo.

I keep coming back and looking at this image - I have liked it from the first - beautifully framed and nice effect - I do wonder precisely what level of pp it has had and what you actually did - very well composed though!
best wishes Kev
