... it would have relished the view ahead.

I took this photo on a day hike alone from a camp lower down. This was taken at about 4000m, with a view of peaks that range from 5000m minor peaks to the 7138m high Chaukhamba massif. Early June showers had brought the snowline down to about 4200m, so while I had the warm morning sun at by back, I was walking through hailstones and frost-bitten wildflowers. The thin air and exertion from walking just 500m in elevation left me breathless - the view certainly didn't help :)

The color version is in a workshop - I personally prefer the b&w.
