Photographer's Note
"Last outpost of humanity at an altitude of about 4200 metres ".....kibber village, himachal pradesh.
Its claim to fame as the highest village in the world is certainly untrue (although it may well be the highest village connected by tarmac road, there is a nearby village higher up), but it's location at an altitude of about 4200 metres is spectacular nonetheless. Set in the Himalayan mountain deserts of North East Himachal Pradesh, Kibber village is an oasis of vegetation and white houses amid the barren , dusty and harsh landscape of the Spiti Valley.
The road up to Kibber passes by Ki gompa (pronounced "key"); one of the Spiti Valley's most spectacular Buddhis moastaries, and well worth a few hours of your time. It's a fabulous, almost organic building that seems to be part of the rocky outcrop above Ki village on which it sits.

Very nice picture of Kibber, Mrityunjoy!
The colours are nice but the sky seems a bit saturated. Good light which illuminates the stupa & houses under the blue sky!
Best Wishes

Hi Mrityunjoy.
I am always interested in extreme points of the earth (northenmost, southernmost, most inaccessible, highest and so on). You have some nice and creative pictures in your gallery from these high altitude mountain villages and also an interesting story. This picture is very colorful. Composition, POV, you've done a good job.
Best regards,
Fredrik
