Photographer's Note
Today, India ranks second worldwide in farm output. Agriculture and allied sectors like forestry and logging accounted for 16.6% of the GDP in 2007, employed 52% of the total workforce.
The fertile Ganges River Delta — known for severe flooding and tropical cyclones — supports cultivation of jute, tea, and rice. Most of the farmers still use the traditional equipments to cultivate their land nationwide.

this is a superb picture. the colours are great and the lighting perfect. the foreground detail is wonderful, and the strip of grass leads the viewer very well through the frame.
