Piccadelhi, a photo from Delhi, Nord

Photographer's Note

Piccadelhi was a restaurant & bar in Connaught Place themed on London transport. Note the red telephone box doors. It was located below the Plaza mall near a cinema. It is closed nowadays replaced by international brand stores, the signs don t exist anymore and the cinema becomes Pvr plaza theatre.

Hi Miguel,
this is so funny!
When I noticed the little subway sign in the miniature of the photo I thought you mixed up the location of this photo.
But after opening it became clear. Somebody had a lovely idea to slightly twist the name to add the local flavour and combine with the famous roundabout.
Lovely street scene well using this motif.
People add further local touch and action.
Very well seen and captured,

Hello Miguel,
Another building I haven't seen. The signs on the wall and the red doors provide good focal-points, and as always the people create a lively atmosphere. "Piccadelhi" was a well chosen name.

I like the play of words there. A good shot of this place with lots of appealing colours and a very lively atmosphere. The red telephone booths are a nice detail as well.

Indeed the world change everyday, today a shop next week a bar.
Nice daily life picture, people are a nice addition.

J'aime beaucoup cette scène de la vie quotidienne dans cette partie du monde. J'aime le contraste entre les vêtements plutôt traditionnels des dames et le côté moderne des hommes.

a funny use of the word mixing the name of delhi with the london's station, even the underground sign is the same. nice details of the people here too.

The name was found beautiful.
Also the metro symbol used in London is visible here.
Together with the red telephone booths this picture shows a pretty image of the modern India with references to London.
