Photographer's Note
I'll continue my India series in Bundi.
In my previous post I showed a man standing outside of his home, but because of the angle you couldn't really see the home very well.
So here is a straight on shot, showing two side by side homes, two different families. I would love to get inside and look around. This is so interesting and intriguing to me, it makes me so curious.
On a sad note, I recall many many times seeing people using the bathroom in that space beside the front steps - no shame no hesitancy.
In the WS are two more shots of 'nothing specials' around the town.

Hello Craig,
Just three more photos from India and you will reach 100. I plan to reach 200 by next week. ;-)
Even though I've spent a lot of time in that country I still find it hard to imagine "holes in the wall" like these as "homes". It's a sad but fascinating thought. But what an incredible number of strange details that could be found here if you look carefully. The street corner in WS #1 looks nicer, and the little boy is surprisingly well dressed. I guess he wouldn't have to feel cold.
Best regards,
Gert

Hello Craig,
Judging on the photos in the WS, also Bundi has a 'blue city', just like Jodhpur.
All three pictures show fascinating Indian daily life-scenes.
The ground floor of the houses in your main photo is quite a bit higher than the street. I suppose this is because of flooded streets during the rainy season.
I don't notice a door at either house. In the evening, perhaps only the hanging canvas may be rolled down.
Best regards, Paul

Hello Craig,
I could gladly have that our young people, in the western countries, this all can see, how this people live.
Almost we can see all detail.
Nice sharp and clear photographed.
Composition and presentation are superb.
Very well done, TFS.
Regards,
John.

Hello Craig,
This really does look like a sad couple of dwellings! If it wasn't that we can distinguish the materials, I would think they had been made from cut out, metal containers!
I imagine they are raised from the floor to avoid the heavy rain at monsoon time, but the supports don't look very strong! It looks as if someone has actually relieved themselves near the green habitation already!
Your sharp, close-up photograph certainly tells a tale.
The young boy, with a bicycle, looks well dressed ... perhaps not belonging to these houses!
Have a good day,
Bev :-)

Hello Craig
Love the image of real life. We in the west are so blessed with living like royalty compared to these fine people. I would bet they have hearts as big as their houses. Thanks for bringing me back to reality.

Hi Craig,
The person with the pink t-shirt is an eye-catcher. The point of view is showing the details of the buildings. The light is giving good colours rendering. Have a nice day.

Hello Craig,
Being the son of two architects, I can tell that the Hungarian (and guess any Western) construction supervisory authority would cry out loud after seeing these building. As a photo and a report however, it is outstanding! The boy in the magenta T-shirt is the cherry on ice!
Best Wishes,
Gy.

Hello Craig, seeing dwellings like this makes one really appreciate ones’ own home.
How do people live like this?
I guess that the rolled up cloth above the open space is unfurled at night.
The subtle colours even though they are scruffy still attract the eye.
Very interesting and excellent TE post.
Kind regards, Jean.

Hi Craig
A good trio but this is the most poignant and depressing - the sort of "houses" you see all over India.
cheers

Hello Craig, Only three photos more and you will have 100 from India. I have 115, far away of the round number, hahaha. Intersting view from Bundi. Something like Bundi for you, for me was Bikaner. I loved it. I looked at Bundi in Google map. There are many fascinating places there that I would love to see. Have you seen this deep well with the stairs?
Best regards Malgo

Bonjour, cher Craig,
J'aime votre façon d'aller à la découverte des pays, des villes, des habitants. Nous sommes loin des visites touristiques.
Ici, l'on sent le vécu, la réalité.
Merci !
Amitiés.

Hello Craig,
A good photo of the two small homes next to each other. The houses look very small and dark and only the outer walls add some bright colours. The photo shows many fine details and textures in a gentle light. Well done.

Hi Craig
Good to see you posting regularly again! Your images truly enhance the site. I was away at exactly the same time so lots to make up for!
Great series of well-observed street shots, this one is such an amazing graphic image showing two similar homes, probably two of many like this throughout India.
I have come across a lot of people living in homes without toilets or people living without homes at all and having to use the street as a loo. Very sad.
Best wishes
Kasia

Hi Craig,
One of the roughest looking dwellings I have seen. And even these have pastel toned paint, which obviously isn't expensive there. These two make a touching pair. Even those stairs look like they could tumble down any time.

Intriguing ands curious it would be, Craig, good thing that each family painted the entrance with different colors.
Well observed, a bit decayed - but distinctly show life in this region.
Have a nice new week,
Ike
