Jal Mahal, meaning "Water Palace", is a palace in the middle of the Man Sagar Lake in Jaipur city. The palace was originally constructed in 1699; the building and the lake around it were later renovated and enlarged in the 18th century by Maharaja Jai Singh II of Amber.rnThe photo is taken at the end of the afternoon.

Hello Gerrit,
This photo has a slight touch of fairy tale, or maybe surrealistic art. Apart from the palace in the water the wonderful warm light makes this photo worth a good look.

Hallo Gerrit,
Op de miniatuurfoto meende ik een paleis in Udaipur te herkennen. Doch het betreft andere paleizen.
De zon verlicht beide constructies mooi en creëert heel warme tinten. Deze contrasteren goed met het blauwe meer en de lucht.
We vinden eveneens mooie weerspiegelingen in het water.
Kon je dit 'Water Palace' bezoeken?

Hello Gerrit, the low sun has given you a beautiful light on the scene, the two buildings really stand out.
I assume that a boat is needed to access the palace?

Hi Gerrit,
you had an amazing light there which made both structures lit as if in a spotlight. The warm colors of the buildings stand out so well against the blue tones of the nature.
Very impressive final effect.

I remember this lake, but when I stopped at side to take photos the light wasn't good as you had. excellent image showing the two buildings floating the in the waters.
