Great choice of subject here Arindam. We have the passengers sitting as they are, and I'm sure each of them would make a fine subject, but you've gone for something different!
It's almost as if it's acting as a barrier between the men and the women!

Very original. Only showing the hands of the passengers rather than their faces adds to the shot.

Hi Arindam,
It amazes me how a simple train journey can result in so many wonderful images. It also teaches me not to leave behind my camera the next time I catch a train. This one is one of the best images in the Indian section. Its a pity it hasn't got all the accolades it deserves but I don't think thats going to disappoint you. I am now eagerly looking forward to your future posts.

Very nice composiion focused on the stick and hands. Lovely color in the bokeh (the yellow color is weird here) and nice hands positions.

I don`t know why, the cane seems to tell me a story of its own..a travel narative...
I am not a big fan of just compositional shots, but this is exception1.

Just happened to see this picture.

The stick seems to remind the people that it is the centre of attraction and because of its old age 'wisdom' it has its 'head' bowed.
