Photographer's Note
After passing a forest, where we were deprived from the sun and views for two hours, we finally had the chance of enjoying the amazing scenery of the snowcapped higher peaks of the Himalayas again. Running the risk of becoming a bit repetitive with this series, I just wanted to show this image where the change of vegetation in the landscape can be seen.
Another view in WS taken 50 meters after this pov.

I like the series of layers from rough grassland, to forest, to rugged snow capped mountains that we see as we look through the depth of the image.
I think it would have been better if you had asked your friend to turn around and look out at the view behind her. Having someone looking into the frame can be a very effective way to draw the eye of the viewer into a scene. The eye naturally follows the direction in which the figure in the image is looking.
Other than that, a good shot.
Cheers,
Ben

Hi Ricardo
This photo shows nice lighting and contrasts and wonderful visibility to the distant peaks. The person adds a good focal point and gives us the impression that it is a tiring climb uphill. A wonderful view.

Incrível esse seu passeio, Ricardo. As excelentes fotografias que vc tirou, como essa, mostra que esse deve ser um daqueles lugares que não se deve deixar de visitar antes de morrer.

Hi Ricardo,
Not an easy trail. I suppose walking and photographing here is very fatiguing. There is so much to take pictures of and than you has to stop again.

Hej Ricardo,
In this picture I like most, apart from another wonderful view over the Himalayas, the colour contrast between the mountain peaks in the background and the forests and fields in the foreground. The shapes of the mountains are also beautiful. Great work, thanks for sharing!

Hey Ricardo,
this is a beautiful photo. A wonderful view is great in its own right, but as you know I really like to include people in photos and enjoy seeing them in others. I think it makes a photo easier for me to read, to be more interested and also to be able to relate more to the shot.

This closer up shot is the best of this series (trekking) so far...the layers of mountains in different colours...light then dark & then again grading into the snow capped paeks looks great. I think it's your perspective which helps this feeling of depth..and of course the fellow treker in the frame (I guess I know who it is) not only adds vitality to the scene but also provides scale.
Friendly Regards

Salut Ricardo,
A well chosen POV where we can see the mountains against the blue sky, forest and finally the grass. I like the way you caught the posture of the woman whith the fist up (to hold the bag) which gives the impression she is ready to fight with someone :) my own imagination...

Hi Ricardo,
Another good sharp picture from the Kuari Pass trek. This IMO is the best of the series with the visible end of the treeline giving way to the bugiyals or the pastures. The snow range forms an impressive backdrop.
Best Wishes

i was looking at your points
you've got so many
what is the secret?
the photo's good since it shows an enclosed space.. ..i like this thing about it.. ..not too enclosed but enclosed still.
that's the nice thing about being in the hills, you get to be in such enclosed spaces.
not giving you points.. ..since you've already got more than you deserve

The quality is top - so nice and sharp. And who can blame the subject for leaning to one side like that at this height?! There are many layers of interest in this shot - the DOF is superb.

I like how all the diagonals each frame the view behind and so-on; there's 3 separate layers of fg mountains and innumerable layers in the bg. You have included your wife(?) in just the right place in the frame. I like the WS too but agree with this as your main choice.

Hi Ricardo,
Well composed with good lighting and shadow effects. The varying layers of terrain here are fascinating, and as your note mentions, the changes in vegetation are so discernible. I particularly like the completely different light and appearance of the more distant mountains. Well captured....later.

The best thing that I like aobut this photo is the distinct tree line on one of the mountains in the background.
I guess you were somewhere between 3100 and 3400 meters asl (above sea level) at this point.
I also like the way the bright colours of trekker's clothes are standing out.
Very good take indeed ... your photos seem to take me right where the action was. ... thanks for sharing them man ... cheers from canada .... Sarju

Bonsoir, mon ami Ricardo,
Philippe

Hello Ricardo,
this is such a beautiful landscape!!! What a hike it must have been! What height were you at that moment? I like the different angles you get with the valley on each side, it is a super point of view!
The human element is genious, really. The landscape looks so raw that the human presence means a lot...
Just for the effort you put in this hike make this series such a loveable one!

Fica bem

Heeey !
A bit too risky and tiring for a 7o years old guy, I can only admire these trekkings, and think that I must choose easier treks for the moment being. Amazing scenery of the snow capped Himalayas, but you still didn't tell me how risky was the trip when it comes to terrorism in the Cachemire area.
A present for you is on it's way. Best -
A good caress to the cats. Izzet
