Photographer's Note
A jump on my treking at the Hymalaias. This is the village of Pana, reachable only by foot. We took about 6h of treking from Kuari Pass, after passing trough a thick forest. There's no running water and electricity.
A simple daily life, showing the house and its front yard, where adults work and children play. After a moment of curiosity, the adults returned to their affairs, but not the kids. This was an exciting moment for them, although not like in the village of Ramni , where children ran to us, asking for photos. This was a more remote place and children were shyer.

Ricardo,

Fica bem.

good work Ricardo
you have captured , the very quintessential elements of the village in the himalayas.
Front yard, bucket, ppl working, clothes on the balcony (which is always wooden and goes around the house. even a cow and some curious stares.
a job very well done ... cheers ... Sarju
PS: usually the houses in the villages have animals living on the ground floor ... i am surprised to see that this is not the case over here .. .maybe it does'nt snow that much in this part. (they have animals on the ground floor bcoz it snows a lot, so it makes opening the doors a hard task ... it is usually like a house on pillars with animals on the ground floor. . this happens in some part of himalayas only.
PS: Hey, today I got the DVD that you had sent ... thanks a lot man .... wow ... you had quite a trip .... you got some great gems in there

Gosto!

Bonjour, mon ami Ricardo,

Bien vu !

Hej Ricardo,
A very interesting view of the daily life in this village. The children look really nice as they are standing there looking at you. The composition is good too with a good balance between the houses and trees on the both sides of the picture. Well done!

Hi Ricardo,
The viewer has the impression of obtaining a rather intimate glimpse of village life here. There is much for the eye to absorb, and each time I sweep the scene I find some new object. The children are certainly curious. You chose your POV well. A nice capture, Ricardo.

Hi Ricardo,
being stuck in one city makes one really jealous looking at photos like this. I mean for me, the himalayas are a dream.
The shot is a very nice situational reportage showing people in their nattive nvironment, with no western influence to be see, hich is a bit weird for me, I was looking for a staelite dish somewhere on the house:)

Hi Ricardo,
A good view of a typical Indian mountain village daily life scene, the woman keeps on doing her chores, but you ve been spotted by the kids!
Natural colors and good sharpness.. maybe the lower left corner part could have been cropped but that is a minor thing.. good docu shot

Bonjour Ricardo,
Was worth it to walk 6 hours and showing us a typical house with the wooden balcony and the children/mother in the yard. I can feel the Himalayan atmosphere and the gentleness of the local people :) A nice daily life photo!

Is one the best photo about the daily life I saw in TE since some weeks.
Very very good one.
It shows a broad environment of life of these childred. The colors of their life. It is very well tallied, and one wants to enter inside.
Thanks for sharing.
Best wishes. Grazyna.

A totally different one from your Himalayan portfolio..well composed keeping the wooden houses on the left & the open courtyard in front. The tress & vegetation in the BG also adds contrast. I like the small things which makes this picture so beautiful, the small flowers in the FG, the bucket, the inverted utensil, black with soot & of course the three kids posing for you. A small crop of the straw roof in the bottom? Life here is so far from modernity, that's most intriguing of our country
Friendly Regards

Ola Ricardo,
At first glance it seemd a bit dark, but the final impression is quite luminous thanks to these whites and blues on the left, a nice village scene with good depth thanks to the balcony perspective.
have a nice week end,

The architecture and all the daily life details are fascinating, the subject too (never was in that part of the Himalayas and dream to go there one day), you seem to have enjoyed your travel there a lot, I am only wondering how you are so certain about the exact altitude (did you have a special device to measure it ?)
Bravo, (and another photo for my theme, if you don't mind...)
