Photographer's Note
Festival of Lights (called Deewali or deepawali or Diwali) is celebrated in India and many similar festivals are held in South east Asian countries. This picture shows the traditional oil lampls with hand rolled ( mostly home made) cotton wicks in hand made mud/clay lamp holders. These lamps are used to decorate houses and kids usually lit up fire crackers. The theme is of the festival revolves around triumph of good over evil or bad.
